Today's Prayer

Lord lead me as I take up my cross and follow you. Comfort me when I get discouraged or experience doubt of any kind. Point specific verses to me when this happens.

Lord, I want to be so intimate with you. I want my desires to be torn down, washed away, rid of, and replaced with Your desires for me and my life.

Lord, You know that quite often I take matters into my own hands while maybe asking for Your "help." But the truth is, You are the Leader and asking me to be Your "helper". Not that You need it, but that You desire it. Like a father who asks for his little daughter's help, he might not need her help but he desires for her to be beside him and do good work with him. Guide me as I give everything over to You, obeying You every step of the way.

Please give me Your patience and Your peace and Your faith. I need crazy faith. Without You, Lord, I am powerless. I am like a flower, that is here today and gone tomorrow (Matt. 6:30).

May I listen more. You are in the driver's seat. Show me how to have patience as I wait to be intimate with You. Rid me of selfishness and show me Your humility.

It's all for Your glory and it's all in Your name, Amen.
